Downball Weight Calculator
Follow the steps in the calculator below to work out the total downball weight for your chosen rack and bikes. Compare this figure with the downball weight capacity for your towbar to ensure you are within manufacturer specifications for your vehicle.
Refer to each product’s wheel basket and overall capacity for acceptable rack loads.
Recommended downball weight must not exceed your vehicle’s downball capacity – refer to vehicle and/or towbar user manual for details on downball capacities.

Cast 50mm Hitch
Due to the hollow section at the top of the Land Rover Discovery Cast 50mm Hitch, the RFS Integrated Anti-Wobble System does not engage into the empty space. A custom hitch pivot is required.
Rear Mounted Spare Wheel
All of our Rack models fit behind a Standard rear mounted spare wheel with No-Modifications. If you have a larger spare wheel, please get in touch with dimensions.

Modification Description
The LRD Hitch Modification removes the In Built Anti-Wobble Mechanism and modifies the hitch to suit the 50mm Cast Hitch found in the LRD Series 4. External Anti-Wobble Systems are provided in leu.

Rear Mounted Spare Wheel
Due to the rear mounted spare, a slightly longer tongue tube is required to achieve adequate clearance.

Shallow Hitch Receiver
The depth of the hitch receiver on this range of Pajero Sports has been reduced (35mm from centre of hitch pin hole to end of receiver) to cater for the spare wheel mounted to the underside of the car. The RFS Integrated Anti-Wobble System does have enough depth to engage.

- Reduction in size of the tongue tube to cater for the shallow hitch depth
- Replacement of Integrated Anti-Wobble mechanism with:

Rear Mounted Spare Wheel
The RFS range has been designed to cater for the spare wheel mounted to the back of the Pajero Range, when the spare wheel is mounted in the top position. The SL Range sits closer to the vehicle so requires an extended tongue. Specific mounting plates are required when using the Super RFS.

Drop Down Tail Gate
To allow the tail gate to open all the way some modifications are required. Note, the SL range has been designed to sit as close to the rear of you vehicle as possible, which can impede access. Extended tongues provide decent access and you will still have your rack close to the vehicle as possible.

Wider Hitch Pin
The 300 Series Landcruiser requires a longer hitch pin. The V3 Pivot uses a ½” Hitch Pin with a useable length of 75mm instead of the standard ⅝” Hitch Pin supplied with your cruiser. A longer useable length hitch pin is required.

Shallow Hitch
The new Ford Rangers are notorious for having a shallow hitch. Our entire RFS range have been designed to suit all Ford Ranger models.
No modifications required.
Rear Mounted Spare Wheel
Due to the rear mounted spare and the compact nature of our SL Range, a slightly longer tongue tube is required to achieve adequate clearance with the SL Rack Range. Note: RFS Range Fits with no modifications.

Single Trail
Unless mentioned above, if your vehicle has a fiberglass canopy and/or standard size, factory fitted, rear mounted spare wheel and factory tow bar, the entire RFS range will fit your vehicle. This includes the Toyota Landcruiser, Prado and Nissan Patrol range.
